Continuing my work done at the research project Living the Forest Lab, I have developed a PCB for the second iiteration of the Electrosluch by Jonáš Gruska, specifically laid out so that it can be used and understood in an educational context.
The purpose was to host an upcoming workshop for “Girls’Day”, a project that allows girls to get to know jobs where the percentage of woman is beneath 40%, mostly STEM related jobs and women in leading positions as someone to look up to. First we presented the female lead of Living the Forest Lab, Athena Grandis and Sara Reichert and their results during their research so far, including the trip to Corsica where we built the Elektrosluch for the first time. Afterwards we did a little soldering exercise and followed up with soldering the actual PCBs. Suffice it to say it was a great success, everyone finished way quicker than I initially anticipated and we had little to no need to intervene to fix errors, something which usually occurs at least once during my work experience hosting these workshops.

There is an article about the day on the LiFo page here: https://www.lifolab.de/girls-day-the-sound-of-electrical-devices
